It's time to build! Thanks to tailored homework, designed to be solved solo, paired, or in a team, you'll have to challenge yourself while learning amazing technologies. During these hours, teaching assistants will be available for quick chats or dedicated sessions (1on1s). We'll provide you with lecture summaries, coding pills, and external resources.

Debrief

17.00 - 18.00 Berlin Time

It's time to wrap up the day: we briefly summarize the topic of the day, we check homework and solutions and we answer all questions the students might have. Be ready! Someday you'll have to present your homework in front of the whole class: this will help you a lot in learning how to properly present as a developer.

After the program

We are looking for talented people who are motivated by the desire to learn how to create. If you are over 18, attracted to the world of technology, have maybe even already taken your first steps with some coding videos on youtube, and want to develop skills that are future-proof, this course is for you. You don't need to be an experienced programmer already but having a passion for technology or science (or creativity!) certainly helps. It is not necessary to know English perfectly, but you do need to know the basics to be able to interact with colleagues from all over Europe.

We currently offer three courses of varying lengths and commitment: Full Stack Web (6 months, full-time), Data Science (4 months, full-time), Frontend (3 months, full-time) and Web Development (7 months, part-time).

Our courses are in English.

There is no formal minimum required, but if you don't speak English *at all* it is unlikely that you will be able to participate in class activities. If you feel uneasy, don't worry. During the course you will greatly improve your ability to speak and understand English. This is another one of the advantages of participating in Strive School.

The course is a full-time commitment and between theory and practice you need at least 6-7 hours a day of devotion. It's very difficult, almost impossible, to work a job alongside. Keep in mind that our goal is to lead you to a dream job and we cannot do that if you do not put forth your utmost effort.

All you need is a PC or Mac, a high quality webcam and an internet connection. It is advisable to have a work or gamer chair and a second monitor as well.

Some of the key people who have helped get companies like AirBnb, Dropbox, Stripe, Coinbase, Tesla, SpaceX up and running have invested and supported Strive School. Our Strivers have been hired by companies such as Cisco, Check24, Reply, Alten and startups such as Filo, Moovenda, Xriba. We don't think we're better or worse, but we certainly are a viable alternative.

No skills are required to apply. Once you have passed the cognitive interview and the logic/aptitude exam, we ask you to complete some pre-course materials.

If you complete all of your classes, hand in your homework and projects and learn to work as a team, then the answer is...most likely, you will be hired.

The program doesn't end when the lessons are over, it ends when you land a job and begin your career. Until then, we continue to support you with our Career Services. During the training period you will learn to properly create CVs, LinkedIn and Github profiles and customized projects. From graduation day to signing your job contract you will be supported by our Career Services team.

Within six months after the end of the course 90% of the disciplined and actively engaged students find work.

You have the option but we do not recommend it.

We collaborate with companies across Europe and strongly believe in remote working, but it is not guaranteed that we will be able to help you find something in your city. Being a Striver also means not being afraid to face challenges and opportunities that arise, such as moving to a new city (or even country!) for the right offer. With that said, we will always try to help you find something most fitting to your preferences.

We issue a certificate of attendance upon completion of the course as well as a series of certificates throughout. Those are issued at the end of each section when you reach the "checkpoints" (example: React certificate, NodeJS certificate).

Strive School is based in Berlin, Germany, at Factory - one of the most active communities in the German startup scene. However, all of our classes are 100% online from the start. We believe in remote training, when it's well done. We do not ask you to travel to follow the course, you can complete it from anywhere you want.

No, it is up to you to decide whether to accept or decline. However, in case of refusal, you will no longer be eligible for a refund of the course.

We do everything we can to help you find a job you're satisfied with. We prepare you for the interview, help you create a well-made portfolio that captures the attention of recruiters, help you negotiate salary and conditions and of course connect you with our expansive network of over 200 companies across Europe. With all of that we do expect you to do your part and apply yourself, go through the interview process and ultimately be able to find a job. We can only help so much, it's up to you to land it.

It's exactly as it sounds: except for the registration fee, you pay the rest only after finding a job.

The contract you sign stipulates that you must give us accurate information, at the right time. If you do not oblige, you will be giving up the payment structure provided in the contract and have to pay for the entire course in a single payment within 30 days.
